Cool School Challenge and Awards:
How cool is your school? Students with valid school ID's can Plunge for a minimum donation of $25, instead of $60. The high school and college that raises the most money will win prizes and the coveted "Cool School" trophy. The Cool School trophies will be awarded live on WBEE 92.5 radio following the Polar Plunge.
This year's prize includes an all-expenses paid private concert at the winning school by a national recording artist, courtesy of WBEE radio!!!
**If registering on-line, be sure you put your school name in the "organization" field. If registering with a paper brochure, make sure your school is noted in the "Team" section.
Fun For The Entire Family:
The Polar Plunge takes place during the Lakeside Winter Celebration. Join the Celebration for horse-dawn wagon rides, a snow-sculpting contest, dog sleds, and games for the kids. And don't forget the "Chilly Chili Challenge"!
Zany Costumes: Ever seen Fred Flinstone run into Lake Ontario in February? How about a gondolier and his passenger braving the cold waves? Or mermaids with beards???! If you have been to our other Plunges, you have! Who will you be this year? Dress in your favorite costume and win a prize!
Great Food:
Feeling cold after the Plunge? Warm up by visiting the "Chilly Chili Challenge" tent! There you can sample chili recipes from various restaurants and groups, and vote on your favorite. Yum Yum!
