PLANE PULL
To Benefit Special Olympics New York



What is it?:
  • Teams of 20 people competing to pull a jetBlue A-320 Airbus 12 feet.
  • Teams consist of a maximum of 20 members with 5 alternates.
  • Teams compete to pull the plane the 12-foot distance in the fastest time.
Where does it take place?:
  • The Greater Rochester International Airport during the Tops International Wings and Wheels Air Show.
When is it?:
  • Our first event took place Saturday, August 25, 2001
  • We will post information for 2002's event as it draws near.
  • Call (585) 747-2234 if you're interested in getting involved with next years event.
Team Entry Fee:
  • $1,000 donation to Special Olympics New York.
  • Find a sponsor for your team, or;
  • Have your team members pledge $50 each.
  • Other Plane Pull Sponsorships are also available.
  • There is no limit to the amount over $1,000 that can be raised.
Activities:
  • Plane Pull with Trophies awarded to three teams with best pull times.
  • First Annual Emergency Services team trophy award.
  • Plane Pull T-shirt for each pull team member.
  • Two tickets to the Air Show for each pull team member.
  • Raffle prizes.
  • Karlson & McKenzie 94.1 the Zone to entertain you.
  • The Tops International Wings & Wheels Air Show.
Purpose of this event:
  • To raise money for Special Olympics New York through one of the most Exciting and Unconventional sports competitions ever held!
